Capturing movement with meaning.
Overview
There's something powerful about capturing movement with meaning. The Westside Women's Marathon wasn't just another event to document. It was a celebration of strength, freedom, community and the stories of hundreds of women coming together.
The goal was to document the marathon beyond standard event coverage. From the quiet moments before the race to the energy of hundreds of runners moving through Mumbai, we wanted the photographs to communicate the emotion and human stories behind the event.

[ frame 02 ]We approached the marathon as a visual storytelling opportunity rather than simply a photography assignment. We looked for moments that captured anticipation, determination, connection and celebration. From the calm of the early morning streets to the surge of runners through Mumbai, the camera stayed close to the people and the emotions that made the event meaningful. The focus wasn't just on who was running. It was on why they were running.
